A grand 1850s manor turned luxury hotel, perched on the ridge with sweeping views over the Piccadilly Valley.
Built in 1852 by Arthur Hardy and reborn as one of the Hills' most elegant stays, Mount Lofty House commands a ridge-top position above the Piccadilly Valley. The gardens spill down the slope, the rooms blend heritage bones with modern comfort, and the whole place trades on one of the best views in the district.
Even if you're not staying the night, Hardy's Verandah Restaurant serves seasonal tasting menus on the original verandah, and the Arthur Waterhouse Lounge, Hardy's Bar and Martha Hardy's Kitchen offer more relaxed ways to take in the view.
It's close to the Mount Lofty Summit and Botanic Garden, making this a natural base for a weekend of walking and wine.
